About the Project

Deemed the YMCA’s largest annual programming fundraiser, the Revolution Ball combines dinner, cocktails, dancing and an auction into a “black-tie-optional, tennis-shoes-required” affair. The sold-out 2016 Revolution Ball, which incorporated the grand opening of City Way in downtown Indianapolis, became the most successful night in the event’s history. More than 500 attendees and 32 sponsors demonstrated their support for the community-based organization.

Hunt Creative Group had the privilege of developing the Revolution Ball logo, as well as the event invitation, which was mailed to Board members, donors and community leaders. The die-cut invitation touted a sophisticated “black on black” technique (spot UV logo on matte finish). The colored ribbon design throughout the tri-fold invitation mimicked the violet laser-light show party-goers enjoyed. A pre-event email campaign used an electronic version of the invitation to invite all Greater Indianapolis YMCA members, making online registration and donation contributions quick and simple.

Using the same classy design as the invitations, HCG created event posters that were displayed in all 15 YMCA facilities. HCG also developed the new Revolution Ball logo, which will be used for this “sneakers-only” event each year.
