About the Project

Craine House, an Indianapolis not-for-profit, recently contracted us to give them a fresh new look. They were looking for an updated logo, tagline and website that tells the story of Craine House and how it serves our community.



A place of hope and justice
After meeting with Craine House representatives to understand their goals, Hunt Creative Group set out to create a logo and brand messaging that articulates the nurturing and hopeful mission of Craine House.

Our first step was translating Craine House’s mission into a succinct tagline. “A place of hope and justice” did just that, combining Craine House’s two-pronged mission into one simple statement.

Next came logo development. As with the tagline, it was important that the logo supports the mission and tells a story. Craine House staff and board members felt their old logo was dated and cumbersome. We gave them a fresh, updated look illustrating Craine House’s impact on the nurturing relationship between mother and child and the growth and connectivity of the family unit. We chose shades of green and brown to signify growth, stability and safety.

Our final task was to overhaul CraineHouse.org into a vibrant and inviting website. Our goals included:

  • Integration of numerous calls to action for donations and volunteers
  • Multiple points of entry to high-traffic pages
  • Integration of video to tell the Craine House story
  • Integration of vibrant photography
  • WordPress platform for simplified updating
